Peekrs is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We do not sell your data.

1. Who We Are

Peekrs ("we", "us", "our") is an 18+ live video chat platform connecting users anonymously in one-to-one video conversations. By using Peekrs, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. What Data We Collect

Account information: When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not store plain-text passwords.

Session data: We log connection timestamps, session duration, and IP address for safety and abuse prevention purposes.

Reports: If you submit a report against another user, we store the reason and associated session identifiers to enable moderation.

What we do NOT collect:

We do not record video or audio from your sessions
We do not store the contents of text chat messages after a session ends
We do not collect your real name, location, or phone number
We do not use advertising trackers or sell data to third parties

3. How We Use Your Data

To authenticate you and keep your account secure
To match you with other users via our signaling system
To investigate abuse reports and enforce our Community Guidelines
To maintain platform safety and prevent banned users from rejoining

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Session logs are retained for up to 30 days for safety purposes, then deleted. Report records are retained indefinitely to enforce permanent bans.

5. WebRTC & Video Calls

Video and audio in Peekrs travels directly between users using WebRTC peer-to-peer technology. Our servers only facilitate the initial connection handshake — we never see, record, or process your video or audio streams.

6. Cookies

We use a single authentication session token stored in your browser's local storage to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Google OAuth (optional login) — subject to Google's Privacy Policy
OpenRelay TURN — for WebRTC relay in restricted network environments. IP addresses may be processed temporarily for connection routing only.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account

9. Children's Safety

Peekrs is strictly an 18+ platform. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has accessed the platform, please report it immediately via our Safety Center.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email. Continued use of Peekrs after changes constitutes acceptance.
